After a great summer of catching many different species here at Bradenton Fishing Charters, we are now switching into fall and winter mode. Redfish and trout will be targeted inshore while grouper, king mackeral and hogfish will be our primary targets offshore. That said, there will still be plenty of other types of fish caught on both of our boats.
Inshore
Large schools of redfish have been cooperating inshore throughout the bay. Snook and trout still provided good action around docks and across the grass flats. We ended up catching many keeper snook and some decent gag grouper on our inshore trips before the season ended on September 30th. We will keep targeting redfish, trout, catch and release snook and some sheapshead in the weeks to come.
Offshore
Our offshore trips provided some great red snapper, gag grouper and red grouper action. A few mahi mahi, blackfin tuna and even a couple wahoo found their way over the side of our Contender. We continued to target fish in the 70'-200' range using both live and frozen bait. Red grouper and hog snapper will be our primary targets in the following weeks.
